Free Running Boards or under $200???
Is that Blue Black Beauty???
I posted that pic, which really shows the hits even a ride with boards take, there`s really nothing to absolutely protect the bulging fenders, which btw is what I liked about the HHR when I first saw it.
Who would`ve thought that some would actually see it as a negative attribute...
And as far as the saleman thing, when I first went looking for a HHR, they didn`t have a clue. Let alone whether running boards served any function.. Heck I still haven`t stepped on mine in fear they`ll break off.

Thanks.
I guess I'm capable of them every now and again.
I learned hard with my first vehicle and vowed never to let a salesman screw me again.
You can let them think they have the upper hand as long as you stay in control. My favorite part is the end game when you are working out the numbers. You alway get the classic, "How much do you want to spend per month?" and all the other stupid questions. My favorite trick for avoiding that is to act like I'm going to pay cash up front and after we work out the vehicles numbers then I decide I want to go the financing route and work out the monthly payments. They can't retract their offer at that point because of their all important good faith contracts.
Then there is always the ten private trips by the salesman into the sales managers office.
I have tons of good advice when it comes to dealing with salesmen of all shapes and forms.
Maybe that's part of why my boss just made me a purchasing agent a couple of weeks back. Now I get to piss salesmen off all day long at work.
I guess I'm capable of them every now and again. If you stay in it as a career, may I suggest CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional)credentials. It opens other doors, provides resources and "ALMOST" guarantees raises. Be prepared, however, it is very difficult.....requiring schooling, training and an all day testing procedure.
Angel, you might want to get a copy off the Service Invoice from those that have said that they got a discount, it just might help more than just taking a copy of the posts.
Then you have a little more amino to go with. Also talk to the Owner not the Service Advisor.
Again just my 2 cents worth.
Oh I see by your sig that a Congrats on becoming a Vendor is in order.
