We need to start an HHR recipe thread and share our favorite dishes. This could get very interesting, anyone else up for it?

Hey Chooch, if you like some heat you should really head down to Sante Fe, if you've never been there.

They have some wicked grub with some nice sizzle. Also worth checking out is the Chile Shop. Those folks will mix chili's with anything (peanut butter, chile jerky, chile covered coffee beans etc.) They have some awesome hot sauce as well. I think they have an online store.

this the place for great food.

ok, since this somehow turned into a food forum, i will give my city of vancouver a plug. Its considered the second most multicultural city in north america after nyc. We have 2.5 million people here, with less then half of white/european descent . Roughly 500,000 are asian , majority chinese but also including phillipinos, thai, korean, japanese. We also have 2 very large east indian/hindu communities. Then there are the fijians, big iranian community, latinos, jewish and middle eastern ones. The rest are comprised of italians (like myself), germans, portugese, greek, british, russian and so on. If anything, you guys want to eat gourmet or love ethnic food...this is the place after new york city and also toronto. Everywhere i go i am surrounded by ethnic restaraunts and ethnic food stores, businesses etc. When i crave food with ''heat'', i go for hindu food and there are so many choices here. Sometimes i just want a good burger or steak/ribs...got lots to choose from here. Anyways, thanks for the suggestions, its all in fun...but trust me...you can truly sample the foods of the world from every nation right here.

OK, that's enough, my stomach is a rumbling and I am drooling on my shirt. My not so slim waistline is a testament to my love of good food....from anywhere!

ya, latinos and more here.

hola siresmerph......you betcha there are latinos here. Probably the majority are from honduras, san salvador and mexico. Where arent latinos?! . You should see the streets here during world cup soccer championships. About 100,000 people clog this particular street in little italy and you see fans of brazil, portugal, italy, germany etc...all face painted with jerseys and flags waving from cars and bikes. Everyone shaking hands and razzing the opposing nationalities. Then thru out the city streets everywhere you constantly hear car horns honking , you see in various neighbourhoods people displaying their ethnic flags on their front doors and porches. look here and you see vancouver -- www.eyeseavancouver.com. ---similar to seattle, but much cleaner.
