I fergot ta say we are in Goose Country, New Hampshire right now! The Lakes region, Lake Winnipesaukee, Squam Lake etc.

Nice and relaxing. Just brought our laptop and am staying at my sister in law's condo.
I seem to be stealing some unsecured wifi though............ Gonna hookup right in the sunlight.

Tomorrow night we will likely introduce our seven year old daughter to the wonder of the drive-in-movie theater.

Got away from the relatives to take a practice shot of a photo I want to do. It requires siting on a dock in the middle of a river for a while with a tripod and a lot of mosquito repellent
Here's the practice shot. Still have to combine it with three others for greater dynamic range and refine the color.

Actually, it is funny someone mentioned 'On Golden Pond'...I will be offline from 8/2 - 8/14/07 as I will be heading to Great Pond in Maine. I understand that parts of 'On Golden Pond' were filmed there, or so I am told. I haven't ever seen any confirmation on it though. It sure is beautiful in Maine though, but that pic you have took my breath away!!! I will be in Rochester New York Thursday night, then on to Springfield Mass Friday night before arriving in Maine on Saturday. I'll be lookin' for other HHRs on the toll roads! If you see me, be sure to wave!!!

I try to have fun with the photos. Take a few for yourself while you are on vacation. Maine is some beautiful country. I hava vacationed there a bit too over the years. My favorite was in a coastal town called Waldoborough .
I love looking back at photos years later.

My vacation to Chicago in the Summer of '87 was the hottest I've ever been. The plastic in our Chevy melted

So that is the connection to where I spend my first week of August every year for my 7th year this year. It is a BEAUTIFUL place. I feel like the world stands still when I am there, and the HHR looks like it is right in its place when parked next to our cabin. I can't wait.
