Great deal? Hmmm, probably a scam
Great deal? Hmmm, probably a scam
I thought I had found a site that had the clutch pedal return spring kit(discontinued). Vbtoursp dot top. But Chrome warned me that the site was not secure(the triangle with an exclamation inside of it, in the address window, instead of the usual padlock symbol)
So, sounds sketchy, I backed out of that site.
Found another site that had the kit. If I order at least $40, I get free shipping, so I kept shopping. Found some more stuff I needed, at great prices. Even the IPCW Bermuda tail lights, only $100!
2 spring kits, and inner fender splash liner, 2 rear hatch struts, and the tail lights. Went to start checking out, and I saw they were giving me a "quantity discount" brought the price out the door to $99.
Now I'm getting very skeptical. But I can't resist! I proceed to checkout, to PayPal. This site is having a hard time connecting to PayPal. I keep trying, and finally succeed, but the card I wanted to use was at home. I'm nosing around the PayPal page, because I'm still very skeptical. I finally found the email address where the payment would go. Somebody at gmx email.
So when I get home, I go through the same issues connecting to PayPal again, finally getting through. I again look at the email address where the payment would go. Hmmm, somebody else at gmx email.
Now my Spidey sense is fully activated. I back out and try again. Finally connect, and this time it's a even different somebody at gmx.
So I'm out of there now, even though the site was secure as far as Chrome was concerned, still way sketchy.
chosingz dot com. Please everyone, if it seems like a killer deal, be very, very cautious. I got my money back from PayPal on a different scam earlier this year, but it does take quite a while.
