HHR great in the snow
We got about 3 inches last night. haven't been out yet but crews were out all night and the streels are supposed to be clear. I found during the ice storms we have, wife has TC mine doesn't, that the key for us was using "I" drive.
As CH said it is no more that a light(kinda-3400lbs.) FWD car.
That being said, its been our experience so far that ours both do well. We haven't had much to test them, a couple light snows and two bad ice storms. I'm real happy with the handling though.

I think it is just a matter of getting used to the car. At first, I was unhappy with the way the Firestones slipped in snow, but then I am a diehard Good Year fan. Now I have adjusted to how they feel. Thank goodness for front wheel drive - that has to be the best ever invention for those who do winter driving! I pity those guys who insist on slewing around with rear drive pickups - they should park them until Spring!

Now see, the closest I get to a city is the suburbs of Trenton. I do see where you are coming from though.
Go out to the farmlands and try it, you'll have fun. If it was rear wheel drive like it should be, you'd have more fun.

It snowed here back in 1987 I think it was.The kids had a great time before the one inch of snowfall melted away.
On the other hand, you folks up north and out west don't get hurricanes like we do.
