Second day of owning this ride, and it snowed, there went my picture day this is my 1st FWD car ever owning in the 19 years of driving legally...I have the 17" wheels and tires, no problems at all. Who needs 4wd anyways...

 

I actually gave up a ford expedition for my HHR, and I can say, even with 4WD, driving the Expedition especially lights and siren in the snow was extremely nerve-racking. It weighed 8,200 lbs with all of the equipment I had in it, and 4WD or not, if you had to stop quick, it was like trying to stop a freight train.

Hopefully 5,000 lbs lighter the HHR is easier to drive in wintry conditions.

 

Well we've had a fair bit of snow now and I find that the HHR is great, but no better or worse than any other FWD I have had. It really does matter what tires you are running. Winters are better by far than the all seasons. A slightly narrower tire also works better than a wider one. I am on 205 60 R16. Works for me.

 

Now thats what I'm talking about! I learned to do that with my Caprice. Had to do it many times today when I took the Camaro out for a little "spin."

The only problem about straightening yourself out with the throttle is you can over-do it and spin yourself into a ditch, as I learned today.

 

Who cares how it did in the snow. That car is bad ass!

 

I second that, who really cares?! The Crossfire is cool. Now if I could convince my sister to stop calling it a lint-roller car.

I miss my '95 Caprice. Sure fun times in that one.

 

I have owned a total of 4 Chevy's all front wheel drive... and I have never in my life....lost control of my car like i did today!!! Of course i dont have the ABS or traction control....and those firestones!!! my gosh...ive never had anything but Goodyears....and i will never ever ever buy firestone!!!!
