Same here. I also have an Astro Cargo Van and consider the stock mirrors on my HHR panel to be quite good.

I've used them on every vehicle I've owned for years. I have the reg HHR and use them, They're onmy Vette, Acura, Kids car.

I install them on both sides. I never look out the side windows for other cars, These work fine.

I only have a blind spot when I back out of my driveway. (Can't see through solid metal!)First couple of times,I almost backed into someone! I drove tow trucks for years and an Astro Van at work, now,so I'm used to using mirrors. When I merge I sometimes hit the power mirror button.

May want to "soft mount" whatever you first get and see if that works for you. You may get used to the limited vision of the panel and stock mirrors and not need aux convex mirrors.
Whatever you do -- I welcome you to the 2-seater club !!

The little round mirrors are coming in handy. Blind spots are negligable, and backing out of parking spots is alot less stressful than I thought it'd be. I like those with the turn signal arrows, hvrod...where'd you get em?

Theres the site ... I had these on for a long time first my 2006 and now my 2008.. Lets people on the side of you see you signaling, and the mirrors allows you to see in those blind spots..

Its a bit of labor intensive chore to install. First you have to carefully remove your mirror, remove the door's panel, remove the mirror housing, and snake in the wiring thru a tight hole opening then out. Then splice the wire to your turn signal wiring....
