Easy test:

Roll down drivers window.

Push the electric lock button on door, chime will go off three times.

Close drivers door.

After a few seconds the horn will honk and doors will lock.

Look at instrument cluster.

There will be no flashing icon.

Wait a minute or so, unlock the door by pulling up on the manual lock.

Open door.

Alarm will not sound off.
My 08 arms with pushing the lock button on the door. I found that out by accident by doing just that. I had the window down locked the door with the button and when I went to go get in relizing its lock(dont lock it if im right there) just pulled up the lock and opened the door and there goes the alarm. It suprised me, it was the first time I had heard the alarm.

stealth for me, and alarm works fine. I will sometimes hit it 2 times, it just depends where I'm at.

What I really miss from the Viper I have on my Avalanche is the 2 way remote. I got so spoiled by being able to just look at it to see if it's locked, armed, or what triggered the alarm.

Lights & No Horn either.

Dash does have a flashing light on the Left side when armed..

I would prefer the flashing light in a more open area to be seen more easily.

You should be able to do it yourself...search around here. This is a Nissan..but you just tunded the key on/off 5 times within 10 secs, haz lts flash, hold lock button, and wait for it to lock. I hope its that ez w/Chevys.

I miss the windows going down when you held the unlock button...truely the little things.
