I Got To Drive One Today

Was a sunny decent day here, so I stopped by one of the small town chevy dealers here in the Rochester area (Churchville) to check out and drive an HHR.
Overall, I was impressed and comfortable with everything. A couple of little things I did not like, but I could live with them (Hump in driver wheel well, interferes with left foot and driver side mirror would not adjust way out, this could of been an isolated issue with this HHR)
The salesman was good to talk to, was not pushy which was a good sign.
Next step is to get the wife back out there to drive one and make a final decision on if we should get one.
Will keep you posted........

We would get the Teal exterior w/Cashmere leather interior and possibly the 10 spoke wheels if the dealer does not try to rip me off doing the chevy accessories deal.

Nice to hear from a Rochester person. I am in Virginia now but grew up in Rochester, N.Y. Good luck in your car search. I have owned my HHR for over three months now and not a problem or complaint.

Hey bigs,

The "hump" in the footwell is the dead pedal. Once you get used to it being there it's a nice place to rest your foot. Might check the mirrors on another car, I've never had a problem with mine adjusting far enough to see past the edge of the car's silhouette.

I use that hump to rest my foot most of the time. My only problem is I can't find a floormat that will cover it and it's starting to get pretty dirty. I tried to clean it with carpet cleaner but it didn't work. Anyone got any suggestions?

You can buy a plate to put over the foot rest and cover up your carpet.

The item i'm talking about is located on the left hand side of the picture.

this was the same exact set I had on my HHR.

I got some truck mats from Walmart and they cover the entire floor area. No problems with stained carpet here. Mat set was about $20 for both front ones. I can take a picture of them if you would like...but they are the heavy duty all weather mats and I love them.
