Today I met a lady that owned a new Chysler caliber RT all-wheel drive and...

She thought it had ONSTAR......,I looked inside & didn't see it. I thought G.M. Products were the only company to feature ONSTAR. She has the top of the line in that car & it does not have leather seats. I'm sure she paid more than 25K for her car. She said it has a 2.4 liter motor & she was very happy with her gas mileage.I also read that it has this funky new transmission that uses belts instead of grears.

Even if you put every option on a Caliber R/T including leather it still comes out to a little bit above $23,500. If you tack on the the two accessory packages it raises the price up to about $24,500. It doesn't have OnStar, thats GM only.

Single steel belt ....CVT (constant variable transmission), Audi (make their own I think), Nissan using them. Made by Jatco............selectable modes....auto and auto stick as fast as you can slap the shifter sideways it will give you a gear...up or down. The Audi - Nissan is a 7 speed, Dodge 6 speed.......very fun to drive......

OnStar is available in Honda (Acura) , Lexus (called Lexus-Link, it's still OnStar.), VW (Audi), Subaru, and Isuzu (technically GM.)

VW dropped OnStar, and so did Subaru, but Subaru is looking to revamp their program and re-offer it.

Under the name OnStar? I know BMW has something like OnStar but it's called something else.

Under the name OnStar. A buddy of mine has a new Acura RL with it onboard.

We had a caliber come to a dealership because it was an rental car that some one dropped off, because enterprise will pick them up on our lot. to me it looks like a mini dodge magnum. there is no room in the back seat, and not too much storage in the trunk. the dash wasnt that bad. but when we looked at the sticker price (18,000) it didnt compare to the HHR.

it looks cute for a collge girl, but at least its not a NEON! those suck!
