I've got HIDs in mine too, just awaiting wiring and programming. I want to do it as factoryesque as possible. Simply wiring a switch for them seems rather tacky to me, especially since I payed all this money for the damn car lol.

I must say, the whole "wiring the parking lamps to trigger a fog relay" is looking MIGHT tempting right now. lol.

Called my dealership. They said they could do the fog program for me for $39. I also asked the guy if he could look into activating the remote start feature. My car is a manual, but its worth a shot I suppose.

They are not going to program in remote start on a manual.

Its worth a shot, that's all. There has to be a way to have remote start on my car altogether remaining a manual. I refuse to believe I need a 500 dollar RS system

Dealer will not program for remote start on a manual, liability in case some thing happens even though you know the procedure to start, someone else might not. I have an 09 LS AND I did the foglamp install almost 2 years ago and I did the programming myself. It is easy simply go into bcm program and where it shows all of the options that are available you simply click on fog lamps and they then work. It is very easy to do. You have to have access to a tech 2.

Any idea on how I could get my hands on a Tech2? Would a local shop simply HAVE one for me to fondle?? I am a highly technical person, this is killing me.
