I installed a scanner in my '09 1LT. I connected the power lead to the audio fuse in the cabin fuse box but discovered that port is always live (not controlled by the ingnition switch). Can anyone recommend a fuse port I can use in the cabin box that goes dead when the key is removed? I don't want to run the battery down if I forget to turn the scanner off and I'd prefer not to have to run the power lead out thru the fire wall to the engine bay fuse box.

 

Try fuse 8, on the right side of the console. It controls the odometer, radio and the SRS system.

 

If you want it on its own fuse try #21 that is controled by the key or #28 that is a constant hot. Both are unused by any other devices.

Sorry, didn't see you have a '09. The above works for a '06. Don't know about other years.
