Sorry all. I really am a car moron.
That would be the return line for the fuel.

There are two fuel lines one liquid and one vapor. Unless the canister is flooded it'll be the return line.

Vapor from the tank goes to the intake manifold, it is not a return line like on a diesel.
Vapor from the tank goes into the charcoal canister where it is stored until the EVAP purge valve opens, the vapor is then sucked into the combustion chamber and burned.
The only way there could be fluid in the vapor line is if the charcoal canister somehow got flooded with fuel. That would cause other more serious symptoms. When that happens from overfilling the tank the usual result is charcoal pellets in the tank.

I was referring to the fuel return. If the can is soaked it will leak raw fuel.

not really.
I have a 50 mile one way commute to work.
I try and Fill it at quarter or more since my commute is nuts.
I have not seen a huge difference in gas mileage.
I will make sure and check on it more next week.
Thanks He was saying something vapor. Im just to stupid on cars to understand.
But I love this car and want to drive it until its dead.

Have him change the fuel and vapour lines, as I posted earlier. It’s an easy job especially if he has a lift! The vapour line won’t leak gasoline just vapour from the gasoline.

We have explained the two lines. The vapor line is for your EVAP system and the other are for fuel delivery from the gas tank.
