Lemon law
Lemon law
Hi all, i have a 2009 hhr and my esc keeps coming on, even when going straight down a dry road. Its getting to the point where saftey is a serious issue. I've had it to the dealer twice and just made an appointment for the third time. Every time i get my car back it comes on as i'm heading home. The reciet they give me shows they are hooking it up to the diognostic computer and its giving them a code and they are fixing what it says, but i still have the problem. I've heard differant theories about the law like if the same problem persists after 3 times it falls under the law. I realy love my car and dont want to get rid of it but as i said its now a saftey issue. Anyone have any ideas about the law and what i can do about it?
Here's a link for you flyerfan2716, your next step though is to contact the GM zone manager, use the customer relations number in the back of your manual.

Yes lemon laws are by state.
Yes you can contact GM about you issues.
MAYBE they will give a ****.
YES a lemon law lawyer will answer all your questions.
YES if they accept your case, GM pays for all those legal fees (in most states).

If you really Love The Car then fight for it.....
Call the 1-800 number in your owners manual for Chevrolet Customer Service and file a Complaint about the way the repairs are going.
They will issue you a Case Number and possibly direct you to another Dealer for additional assistance.
That's the place to start, but be polite not obnoxious.
A Lemon Law settlement will not always leave you satisfied either.
Been there Done That.
