Mirror removal

I have a 2LT and was wondering if I removed the rearview mirror that has the XM radio and On-Star on it will it screw anything else up? I drive with my side mirrors and the rearview is right in my line of site.

Have you moved it up towards the ceiling? A lot of people in the past didn't realize that it has more adjustment than it first appears.

If you want to try it without the mirror to see if it affects anything, just unplug it for a day or two.

If your On-Star subscription is still active, you might get an e-mail from them that there's a "Fault Detected" due to the mirror being unplugged.

If you're not an active On-Star subscriber, it shouldn't affect anything adversely.

When I first saw this, my thoughts went to "use my wife's method", miscalculate the "Width of HHR to Garage Door Opening Ratio" and...crunch! No mirror.

But then my Holiday addled brain said "interior mirror dummy", oops!

Lol...no my wife did that on the Toyota Sienna and back into another car because she didn't like the sound of there parking sensors when she went thru a drive thru so she turned it off.
