Like the Kia forum I visit, that Hyundai doesn't look too active either based on the dates of the most recent posts. Doesn't seem to be much comradery amongst Kia/Hyundai owners.

 

Thats how it was on the Soul forum, even the private non IB ones. Rarely any posts

 

I think they wholesaled the car to the auction. The main car dealers don't seem to keep "high mileage" cars on their lots. This type of car seems to go to the secondary market. Whoever buys it should be getting a good running car. If whoever gets it calls me I have all the service records for the car.

Maybe, but the OP has a Hyundai Tucson and I have a Kia Rio. A Soul forum wouldn't be too useful to either of us.

No doubt it's because there are a lot more Souls on the road now. Those guys are just as clannish about the Soul as we are about the HHR. I don't get too wrapped up in it, but the forum is a great source for DIY and aftermarket parts.

Old Lar, I second Whopper's suggestion for a review of the Tucson. Every time I drive by the Kia dealer, I fight the urge to stop and look at all the crossovers they have in the lot. The Sportage is available with a turbo, but the normally aspirated 2.4 doesn't seem to put out much more power than the 2.0 in my Soul.

I really don't want to get rid of my HHR. My wife likes it and it's very handy for hauling household purchases. I was, and still am, very surprised by the stuff I've been able to fit in this little hauler. The HHR has been every bit as reliable as the new Soul we have.

TBH, if Chevy still made an HHR, I'd consider a new one.

 

I do miss the MPG of the HHR, After 4100 miles on the Tucson my MPG is less than the 28 EPA rating. My cousin was in town and used the Tucson and managed only 22 MPG whereas I usually get around 26.
