Moving HHR with no battery

there is a feeling that all these tips are pure theory
no electricity - no ignition
how he will drag the car into the store, if without ignition the steering wheel will be blocked
do not do without a tow truck
or am I wrong?

Once the steering and transmission are unlocked the car can be towed 4 down.

this is the true truth
how to unlock the transmission without electricity is now clear
but how to unlock the steering wheel? Break the ignition lock, as hijackers do? This hardly suits our friend.
Purely theoretically ... What options can there be?

Apply 9VDC from a dry cell battery to the fuse box jump points.
