My thoughts on my 2007 HHR (so far)
I guess our HHR is still in the break in period, only about 1200 mi. so far.
No real problems so far, a squeaky sun roof when closing. But nothing else. Forgot to tell you all... we are already planning on our next HHR.... probably 2009 or 2010. Hopefully our health will be good enough to do so... but for now, we are having so much fun and really enjoying our newest toy

Its funny how 454 taylor is knocking on the hhr..... dude its not a Bentley for one, so your expecting it to have all these nice exotic features and u talk about it being a plastic toy car inside well what do you want ? a steel dash i think for the price of the HHR its a pretty damn nice car, and if you paid over 20,000 dollars for your hhr you got took you must not know how to work the dealer i had 3 dealerships fightin for my business i ended up gettin my 2007 hhr with 6 miles on it for 16,900. If the hhr isnt good enough for you why dont you fork out 300,000 dollars and go buy a Ferrari.
Remember that we all have to right to agree or disagree.
But at this point 454Taylor is not happy, to this all agree.
No reason to be hatefull, this is his feelings, all we can do is listen, and help him to be a True HHR owner, and like the HHRs. That is if he will allow.

My 2007 HHR 2 LT loaded (no sunroof or running boards) was purchased on the GM employee purchase plan. (Son is employed by the company) Maybe you got an LS or a 5 speed?? I do still think I got taken though. Thanks Karen!
I don't see a single complaint about the actual car that Taylor is complaining about that most of us wish GM had done better.
I haven't driven any car in this class/price that I didn't have just as many valid complaints about.
It all boil done to are they enough that you are unhappy with the car? For Taylor it seems they are, for me they weren't. That's not a good or bad thing, I'm not right or wrong, same with Taylor. It is just what it is.
If everyone loved the HHR it would have sold a lot more than 100,000 units in 2006. Its an economy station wagon no matter how we try to dress it up. I still LOVE it though!!

NEMO is a LT2, 2.4, Auto, it has the side curtian air bags, Running BDs, Shiney Chrome Pkge, Roof Rails, Upgraded stero 7 speakers with controls on the wheel, 17" high polished wheels.
I wanted this and the Dealer looked, and looked.
Before I bought I read a lot of fourms to find out the problems, sometimes people don't know about the fourms, and take the Dealer by thier words.
I have had NEMO almost 1 yr, no major problems that the TSB can't fix.
You might have been taken advantage of, but nothing can be done about it now.
Luck, and if we can help you in any way just ask, someone will mostlikely have the answer.

nope i got an Lt1 the only thing i didnt get was a sunroof and the roofrails it also is loaded, and if you paid over 20,000 with the gm discount thats crazy cuz i didnt even get that discount. well im sorry your not satisfied but as i said before its not an exotic sports car you get what you pay for and for the price the HHR is a pretty good little ride.
My .02
IMHO...I don't think you can find another vehicle with all the features that an HHR has, plus the utility of the vehicle, fuel economy, decent ride, 5 star crash rated, plus the retro looks......FOR THE MONEY. I went from a loaded 40K Trailblazer LT extended version to the HHR. I don't miss that gas-sucking TB at all!
Please don't shoot 454Taylor down ! He has issues with some of the design and with his enjoyment of the HHR. To get that kind of info is exactly why I joined here ! I am considering an HHR in the near future and need to know what some like and don't like about it.
When I'm finally ready to buy, I can then go through the list and decide for myself if I can live with the shortcomings. That's what it's all about isn't it?
If anyone is looking to buy a used Elantra soon, I can tell you what to watch for and what's good about it.
The truth is that I will loose a lot of really nice features that I have now on my car for a cool looking HHR....
