"I like them there SSRs. A local dealer had a teal one that took my breath away. I wish I could have added it to the stable.
My wife wants me to get rid f all the old cars and be happy with the HHR. I am happy with the HHR, but there is something real special about owning and maintaining a classic. I can also understand leaving the world of constant weekend maintainance!"

Thanks Harpozep...We haven't totally given up the true oldies. We still have a '50 Packard. Also have a '78 C10 Silverado with a 454 and just about every option offered in '78. That one has less than 50K on it, but has the typical rust of the era. Gonna sell the '78 Chevy PU if anyone's interested

This is a concept I would actually like to see GM/Buick undertake. But of course could they keep the pricetag reasonable?!?!

Chrysler Announces Pricing on 2008 Sebring Convertible
Date posted: 03-30-2007

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — The 2008 Chrysler Sebring convertible will range in price from $26,145, including a $675 destination charge, for the base model to $32,345 for a top-of-the-line Limited model, Chrysler Group said on Thursday. The automaker said its new Sebring convertible is priced $645 below the comparable outgoing model.

The base '08 Sebring convertible is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes a vinyl convertible top.

The midrange 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Touring model starts at $28,745, including destination. It gets a standard 2.7-liter V6 flex-fuel engine that produces 189 hp and 191 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. A cloth or retractable hardtop is optional.

The 2008 Sebring Convertible Limited model is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter V6 that makes 235 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque, coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. A cloth convertible top is standard.

The retractable hardtop adds $2,170 to the price of the 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Touring model and $1,995 to the Touring model equipped with the Special Touring Group and on the Limited model.

The six speed sound like a great addition. Is the Chrysler six speed a dependable unit yet?
