Ours did.

It came off the line on March 3, 2006. We didn't take posession of it until October 24, 2006, so it sat unsold for at least 7 months (don't know how long it takes to get from the factory to the dealerships).

It originally delivered to the dealership in the east end of the city, transferred to the higher volume and more centrally located dealership (they are part of a 4 dealer chain) where we got it.

Build date: 7/20/2006. Dealer inventory check was showing a delivery (to dealer) date of August 2006. So 7 months and some. We've had a rainy fall and a cold winter. Not good conditions for selling cars.

Well, it looks like it is perfect. The black interior is stunning! I hadn't seen it before I bought. Fuses were all nicely seated, everything works, and there is not even a hint of steering or wheel vibration. I do have the two paint blobs at the bottom of the hatch door, but you have to look from the inside to see anything up close. That's not even a flaw to me.

My kids love the ride, so it's got their approval, and now my wife wants to know if I would mind if she got the same car to replace her leased Malibu next summer.

Thanks for all the responses; now, I've got some drivin' to do.

Pictures coming later.....

I glad to see I'm not the only HHR with paint blob issues. My dealership is going to wet sand the edges for me when it goes in for the new sunroof to try and even out the look.

Can you even see it with the hatch closed? Most of the HHR's had something but the one I was really looking at had the clearcoat blob..

You can only see it when the hatch is open. We only saw it when the repair guy was trying to figure out why out gate is not opening smoothly. They replaced one strut, but are now replacing the other one too. I personally think that they just need to loosen the bolts and readjust the whole gate, but it's fun to watch someone else tinker with it...
