Question about warranty?

Hey how's it going everyone. I got a quick question about the warranty on our cars. Basically what will void the warranty on the car? I've heard if you change the wheels will voided it and I've also heard that the dealer has to prove that the damage was a direct results of the the modification. I would really like to put on a new exhaust or at least muffler, a short throw and intake when available, but really don't want to void the warranty. Any help would be great thanks.

they cannot void your entire warranty. if they conclude that say your short throw caused the tranny to fail then your tranny warranty is voided not your entire warranty. with wheels just keep your stockers around and switch em out when you go to the dealer but i dont see any dealer hassling you about wheels.

Mine was in the shop yesterday to have the HVAC blower replaced. I also had them check out the "clunk" I hear occasionally in the front. Turned out to be nothing, kinda figured that would be the case, I only hear it on one bump on my way to work, but wanted it looked at while I was there. They said nothing about my Cobalt 18's on it. Guy that servied it said they looked nice on it....

They also saw the glove box recall piece and kindly installed it..... Lucky, my GPS still barely attaches with it there.

Right on! Thanks. So basically if my fuel pump craps out and I had an exhaust they could not say my warranty is voided because the exhaust was one the vehicle?

you are right sir. i do not see any way that exhaust could make your fuel pump fail. unless said exhaust somehow melted and shorted the wires to the pump. if they did all they can void is the warranty on your fuel pump or the fuel delivery system.

Changing the muffler DOES not void the warranty.

Re-tuning the car, now THAT is a different story!!
