Question regarding timing chain/belt

Do all years and models of the HHR have a timing chain? Do some have a belt? How would I know which mine has? I know this is a little more dumb than the majority of things I post here, but I honestly don't know and was looking for some help. Thanks.

All have chains. Since its a ecotec it's a chain driven system. Doing timing is easy, just a lot of junk in the way to do it.

Thank you guys. So the chain will eventually need to be replaced? Any idea as to what mileage it would need to be done at?

I believe it's supposed to last for the life of the engine.

I had to do a timing belt at around 100K mi. on my last car, which had an interference engine. That was one of those jobs where no beer was consumed until AFTER I made sure the valves and pistons were not in conflict...
