Look at post #22, in the thread, he states that the wire you need to scrape the insulation off and ground is a purple wire in the BCM area of the waterfall, not under the hood.

Does the speedo go to 120 or 200? 200 would be Euro.
Awwww… PURPLE! Not pink!
Grounded PURPLE and it works OK!

Thank you, gentlemen, very much!

Some time ago I was struggling with an aftermarket radio installation and there was a PINK wire to tap into so it must have confused me.

Again, thanks!

Glad it worked!

BTW, you probably already know that now, the 4-button fob with the remote start button will work, if you want to avoid two-handed multiple button pushing gyrations. Less onviously, the contact is already on your green board and you can simply move it to an empty 4-button case, available cheap on line.

Also, I would highly recommend posting a prominent warning under the hood that the RS remains active with the hood open. I also put a note in behind the fuse panel that explains the ground wire.

For future reference, here's another thread, with a pic (and links to even more threads, and only a few entries to get through):

Now I am really confused. are the letters or the dresses the color stated? Is pink purple or is purple pink?

No, no, I know the color names and the difference :)

Two weeks ago I was installing new aftermarket head unit and to power the factory Pioneer amp I had to tap into PINK wire in the radio harness and that PINK must have really stayed in my head :)

New, 4 buttons FOB shells are already on their way 👍
