I think the Chips in the keys is an scam. To me its just an extra way to make more money for BS.

No, they work! Try having a key without a chip cut the same and it won't start your HHR.

Well its a safety and security feature. Pass-Key III+ with vehicle immobilizer theft-deterrent system. Saying that makes me feel much safer

Lady Fenrir lost her keys the second day we had the car (she is a smart blonde, but still has her moments ) it was 52.48 after tax and they didn't charge anything to program it, but they did charge for the key and I forgot what that cost was I was to busy shaking my head when I told them what happened!
