I think if you'll go to the start of this thread and read the whole thing, you'll find that I deceiphered most if not all of those RPO codes. Did it several years ago for various members. Just read my responses in this thread.

 

I've said it before; the RPO codes are mostly actually "cost codes" They are only meaningful to the cost accounting department and change frequently. For instance4, when GM has a sale o0n certain packages like the Autumn package where the individual items are costed out differently. And back when Automatic transmission was an "option" in some packages it was "included".

Code MXO in a 2008 HHR is for "Merchandised Trans-Auto Provisions, 'OVD" and MM5 means "Merchandised Trans-Auto Provisions, OVD". Evidently there was an option to delete over drive or there were 2 different prices, but the trans was part of a package i.e.: Merchandised.

They tell you what the cost accounting billed for, helpful info, not the same as a build sheet that tells the factory what to include.

VT& means Owner Manual
