I would try to plug it in real good and see if that turns it off. You should not try repairing the wires, resistance counts.

If seating it real good doesn't fix it you would probably need a new(er) clockspring. The locks are not supposed to come all of the way out.

Hey Don, good news I fixed it. Turns out it was in fact the clock spring. I ordered a new one which came with its own set of locking tabs. They fit in perfectly on my airbag. Installed the new clock spring and put my car back together and the airbag light went out. Thanks for all your help. I was so relieved.
