EBay a new steering wheel

 

Have you kept the leather clean and conditioned it?
I use Meguiar's Gold Class on mine.

 

I use Meguires Interior cleaner ( non-greasy ) as I hate that Amour All crap like putting vasaline on everything. Natural feeling clean interior 100% Just detailed mine after I got it, the steering wheel has a small 3" strip on top I can feel but not really see yet where the steering wheel is starting to do something ( I will be putting a cover on it later so not grabing a hot wheeel in the summer ) but a teen girl drove it before I bought it... GLITTER EVERYWHERE....grrrrrrrr

 

yeah, since I've had it, I don't have Meguiar's, but I have leather care stuff from my horseback riding days ... no idea how it was treated prior to me, but it had a super clean interior

 

Oldblue had a dark grey leather steering wheel, send fastsuv a PM he might be parting it out!

 

Leather?
I never put anything on mine, cleaned with Windex very occasionally. Didn't have to clean the windshield as often after I quit smoking.
I have seen cushioned steering wheels torn up, mostly from pets.

 

Leather use saddle soap. Synthetics use Meguires.

 

Most leather is plasticized with urethane. Detail shops use all kinds of aggressive chemical products that get quick pretty results with little concern for long-term damage.

 

My question was where is there leather in the picture? Looks like closed cell foam with a skin to me, just like both of my HHRs.
