Hi, Jared!

1. Has not been back to the dealer (it's one year old), but I will probably take it in during warm weather for the loud AC compressor fix.

2. During continuous highway driving I got 32.5mpg (2.4L with 5-speed).

3. There is a LOT standard. I would definitely get the running boards. The sound system upgrade is nice if you listen to a lot of tunes. The sunroof is also good if you would like a more "open" feel to the interior. I wish I would have ordered the sunroof. If you are highly safety conscious, then the side air bags are another option (even though the HHR without side air bags gets a 5-star side-impact rating). Finally, order the 2.4L engine if you absolutely must have more power .

4. I have always changed my own oil on all the cars I have owned in the past 30 years, and the HHR is the easiest oil change of any I've had. I can reach the oil drain plug without jacking up the car. The filter simply pulls up out of a cavity at the front top of the engine after unscrewing a cap. No spills, no drips. If I didn't have to wait for the oil to drain out of the pan, I could have changed the oil and filter in 5 minutes.

5. I have had my 1LT HHR for a yaer and 17K miles and it's still as fun to drive as when new. Absolutely no regrets about buying it. Enormous cargo capacity for its size (remember, the HHR is essentially a cobalt station wagon). You get the message-I love this car.

I used Blue Magic carpet cleaner. Sprayed on there, waited 30 sec and blotted it up with a white towel. It also worked wonders on my carpet and floor mats. You can get an aerosol can of it at Schucks, (Checker, or Kragen.) If it doesn't come out the first time just re-apply and blot again. The secret is to always use a clean spot on the towel.

Wow, an HHR patrol car!!!!! Cool pic TomsHHR!!

Well, I test drove one today..........I have to say I was very impressed. The power output from the 4cyl was very surprising.

(The last 4cyl vehicle I drove was my 98 S-10 and it was pathetic.)

The seats were very comfortable, plenty of leg and headroom. The ride and handling was fantastic. Very smooth over rough roads, nice steering feel......stable at high speed......just a nice driving, quiet, comfortable vehicle.

Great little vehicle!!

Now I just have to pick a color and decide when I want to pick one up!!!

Thanks again guys/gals for the input, it makes decisions like these so much easier.
