In the past it has been held in Ontario in the Niagra Falls area. It has been in August but I am just assuming that it will held again in 2016. If it is, I'll be there with the V8 Panel. I'll truck it to Chicago an drive the rest of the way. I really want this to happen, should be a blast.

Rear drive shaft / tubs / floor

The sheet metal in nearly complete in the car. All the pieces are coming together nicely. More welding is required but that's easy. At this point I don't know if the stock tool box will be modified and put in or a new tool box will be fabricated. The way it's looking is the cutouts for the rear tubs are so large it doesn't leave much of the tool box doors, so it might be easier to just make one. I need the tool box because the battery and air compressor go on the passenger side and the air tank goes on the driver side.

i dont think this event will happen . I believe last year was the final year..unless someone revives it, which is doubtful

Well then we need to have someone who lives in the area to pick a date, find a park and and have this. We don't need trophies or anything that costs money. Just a casual get together and a cruise. I'm in.

Rear floor complete

All the welding and sheet metal is finished in the rear of the car. The next thing is to build the "tool box" area. It will have a single access door instead of the two doors that the stock tool box has. I ordered a 4 gallon aluminum air tank (6" x 30") to fit sideways inside the box. The battery will go on one side and the air compressor will go on the other. It's starting to get exciting.

Tool Box Mock-Up

The floor is complete and work begins on the tool box. The cardboard template shows the shape. It's 9" tall, very close to the stock box. The single door will have 2 gas filled shocks to support it.
