You asked.... here is my labor of love, money pit, you know what I mean. It's a 94 Impala SS, 1st year built. Did a frame off of the underneath. Tigged the frame, blasted and powder coated it. Motor is a LT1, now a 8.5CR 383, modified trick flow heads, F2 Procharger. Inter-cooler is behind the front bumper I will make some air deflectors to get air over it. Brakes are Corvette C5's.. Could go on and on but I don't want to hijack your great build thread.

I do have to install those to get through the visual inspection. They will go in place of the short tubes coming off the header.

This Just Mught Work

I made the caliper brackets out of 3/8" plate, got the correct length (longer) bolts, and machined a pair of concentric rings to center the rotors on the hubs. I think this might even work!

The entire secret to mounting Corvette C4 rotors to the HHR is machining rings to center the larger Corvette rotor ring on the HHR hub.

Here is the concentric ring mounted in the re-drilled 13" rotors

The 3/8" brackets and new bolts should hold the beast

This shows the alignment is spot-on without using shims.

That looks like it will work. My Impala convert is a Kore 3 and I believe the adapter bracket was 3/8 as well. Given the weight you should be good to go.

Nice work. Improvise, adapt and overcome.

That Otta whoa, when you says whoa!! And those concentric rings will take the shake out of the equation!
I used a set to centre up my wheels, when I installed my SS non Brembo set up.

Roll Cage Going In

The roll cage is going in this week. The "B" hoop is in and the supports are bent and cut. The welding continues.......

It's going to be satin black with black foam padding in the areas over the front windows.
