I'm leaning toward the K&N system because it has a cover and I am concerned with having an open filter which the Airaid would be.
I also know the CGS system is suppose to give more performance and better mileage etc. but I don't like the fact that I will have to do some slight modification for their filter or spend additional money for a different filter.
Your opinions please.................
Thank's for your inputs.
I decided to go with the K&N system (Part# 63-3056) I felt more comfortable with a covered system.
Will post my results when it gets here and is installed.

I had warranty service on my HHR at least twice with my cgs intake. Thier are no modifications required therefore it shouldn't void any warranties

Smile Warranty Question on K&N?

After reading these notes, I went ahead and ordered the K&N today.
Now that it's after the fact, will I have any issues with going to the dealer to get warranty work done? Should I keep the old one ready to swap and put back on if that needs to happen. I guess I should have asked first.

I like the design of the K&N not exposing the filter, and I can easily get access to the box to change an put on a new one. I typically change my K&N's ever other oil change, and take the filter I took out and clean it, oil it and get it ready for the next time.

Thanks,
Keith

Dan,
It was $220.95 shipped to my door. No shipping or tax.
Got it from AutoAnything. They were great to work with.
Had it in exactly 7 business days.

You guys with K&N Installed?

I just ordered the K&N, and it just came to mind.
What do you do with the oil cap?
Does that stay sticking out, or do you move the cap down to the engine.
I guess I need to go look at some install pics listed here on chevyhhr for my answer.

thanks,
Keith,
Marietta, GA.

Anyone in the Atlanta area have the K&N installed.
Send me a message.
