Finally had a chance to take a look at my thermostat
Sure enough it was bad.
Also looks gm updated the design of the new thermostat.
I tested both together and the new one opens a lot more than the old one at a given temperature

Replaced the air filter. Bought the car with 23,500 now has 29,132. Last weekend was an oil change with Mobil 1 synthetic and penzoil filter.

Reset the clocks in them, welcome back Standard Time, hello driving home from work in the dark.

Now I just have to do the clocks in every room, both microwaves(including the one that thinks I want to defrost a turkey every time I try setting the clock), my watches, my wife's watches, the clock radios in the bedroom, the phones, the fax machine, the Elvis clock in the garage, and that's it.....phew! Really glad this "Falling Back" gives us an extra hour every year, whoopee!

P.S. I also replaced the batteries in all the smoke detectors and tested them too, our son was less than thrilled with the racket....Daddy is on his "List" today.

Received my first citation yesterday because my tint is to dark on the front two windows. Oh well, looks like I'll be getting that corrected this week. Maybe I'll go metallic on the fronts.

Just curious, did the offcer use a light meter to determine the legality of the tint, or did he/she just "eyeball" it?

If it's the latter, you can fight the citation in court if you have the time and inclination.

Time to drain and fill rad, change out suspect T-stat, car has been running 204 to 208 lately, even thou the outside temp is 38 to 42 degrees. I understand it should be more like 180 to 188 degrees. so, mix up the 50/50 Dexcool and have at her!

did the Dexcool and T-stat change, no more high temps, just hoovers at 180 to 186 degrees. That's a relief
