We hit the other side of 50 degrees today, so the '06 got a visit to the Autobell for the "Deluxe" treatment. After a wash, wax, vacuum, and detail by by a couple of twenty somethings with non-aching backs...it's once again presentable.(Or close enough for now)

Now to set aside a weekend to attend to the corrosion on all four doors, sigh.

Replaced the heater blower fan on Sunday. What a PITA!
I was cursing GM for asking me to cut the fan cup with a utility knife. Taking a knife to the car scares me.

You can see the bottom of the fan cup that has to be cut out with a knife. Really hard around the back where the floor gets in the way.

You can also see the sound shield hanging down below. I augmented this with a layer of MLV and then a bunch of 3M sound batting left over from my doors. Makes the fan much quieter.

Typical hhr project for me: I can do this and save a ton! <mid project> oh crap this sucks I wish I paid the dealer to do this...

Proud it's done though

FINALLY sorted out with the ins. and the guilty party. I'll save you all reading a novel about that .Lets just say sometimes you have to do the "legwork " despite how angry it makes you.

It's in the shop

Glad to hear that FoxHat , maybe get those rims sprayed with your choice of colour or black while it's in the shop!!

yesterday the snow blower ate a newspaper the delivery person left in the middle of the driveway, nice jesture! A free sample , well it was buried under 5 inches of snow, it jammed the thrower impeller. $85.00 for belts and an impeller pulley. and the newspaper states its not their concern. Yeah!!

today, it's clear and sunny and -32 with the wind chill so just going to get a coffee with the guys ( yes Tim Horton's coffee )

How about adding some more pics if you got them and a write up posted in the How To Library?

If not, I guess I can move this over there.
