Walked around them before dawn, coffee cup in hand, hoping that Monday will be the last day I have to wear this eye patch. Not being cleared to drive for over a week is driving me utterly nuts, and according to my wife, it's a short drive in my case.

I looked at them with stereo vision and depth perception for the first time since I injured my eye. No driving today, the eye doc used dialating drops that made me look like a racoon who'd dropped acid. Well according to my wife, what concerns me is how she gained experience with the appearance of woodland creatures under the effect of LSD.

There are still many mysteries wrapped up in the blond haired, blue eyed, enigma that is my wife.

Oh well, the morning will see me behind the wheel of something, be it an HHR or the Challenger.

And yes I've learned my lesson, safety glasses at all times in the shop, heck I'll even wear 'em when grilling steaks from now on.

Hey, those are my rides, too.

Are you also on "The Z" (challengerforumz.com)?

I check out "The Z" from time to time, but I'm not a member. Despite the R/T lurking in the garage, I'm a Chevy guy to the core. The Challenger came about because I wanted a new muscle car, and there isn't enough headroom in either the Camaro or Mustang.

The big Dodge fits like a glove, and its a hoot to dip into that Hemi.

But today, my loyalty to HHR's won out, and my celebratory "Return to driving drive" was behind the wheel of the Paddy-Wagon. It was my first HHR, and it will always be my favorite ride.

Today, I took my roof rails off and filled the holes with body plugs. Happy with the outcome. Looks more sporty.
