Mine are sitting today while my Wife and Mom go to all of the post-Christmas "DOOR BUSTERS!!!!" sales.

I prefer to think of them as "FENDER CRUNCHER!!!" sales because of the parking lot of Costco turning into a demolition derby.

But better the fenders on Ma's Buick Encore, instead of mine.

Well, finally got the ignition switch / cylinder recalls addressed. Not the most stellar service in some aspects (confusion on where my car was, not showing in the system after having been there for 5 hours - I'll attribute this to post holiday blitz as previously have had great service. Stuff happens). Some others was pleased (courtesy shuttle zero wait, friendly staff, washy washy...).

It's been about a year, and overall still pleased with the car.

We'll be leaving the Daily Driver AKA "The '06" parked at the airport as we fly up to Halifax Nova Scotia this afternoon to do Christmas Part Deux with my wife's parents.

I'll be popping in from time to time between now and our return on Tuesday. But until then, I'll leave y'all in the capable hands of our Moderators, whopper, donbrew, Lucky, and goetylsd.

Be nice to them OK.

Got a letter from Chevrolet today telling me that I may have a shifter problem which will keep me from removing key from ignition when vehicle is in park. They said don't take vehicle to Dealer unless you think you are having this problem. They said that if this problem occurs within 15 years they will take care of replacement. I have the shifter with the leather boot so I probably won't have this problem...am I thinking right? But if I do develop th problem I have a 15 year free pass to get it fixed.

Back from Nova Scotia, our '06 Daily Driver awaited us at the airport like a faithful friendly dog. It was nice visiting the in-laws, but it's so good to be home.

And it's even better not having to ride around with my Father in law who believes that Stop/Arrętez signs are just broad suggestions, instead of actual traffic control devices.

My leg hurts from pounding the non-existant passenger side brake pedal.
