Ice possible?? That's balmy, here it's 7 degrees F or -14 C , that puts the buurrrrr in burrito, and 5 inches of snow to boot or shovel!
So today Oldblue just sits in the driveway!

The deal between Welland and Charlotte Oldblue, is that y'all consider 5" of snow to be no big deal, here it's THE END OF THE WORLD!!!!

Yes Southerners are weenies when it comes to snow and ice, a snowstorm in Charlotte demonstrates Darwin's theory of Natural Selection. The smart Carolinians stay home when white stuff falls from the sky, the rest of them go out and become filler footage on the nightly news.

I'm sad to see such a disaster.
For Charlotte is really "end of the world."
Horrible whim of Mother Nature. Poor people, many are not ready for such conditions. How your building cope with the problem? I heard they are not designed for low temperatures and snow.
I hope you're okay. Hold the blow.

I'm sorry for the confusion Andrey, no snow in my part of Carolina yet this winter, but is has been extremely cold.

-14 Celsius/+7 Fahrenheit twice in the past week, we're not used to such cold, and neither are our structures.

Many frozen pipes including water mains under the streets, we've been 30 degrees colder than usual this winter.

yes they are
unexpected cold - it's a big problem even for Russia
I imagine the horror in Carolina
All of these pipes. Ice breaks steel as toilet paper.
Utilities should prepare for the high costs.
Well, it is life. It will be something to tell the grandchildren.

I just pulled out my HHR for the 1st time in about 11 days. She started up with no problems. I can stop driving my Escape until the next snow/ice storm now.

Went on a short road trip and picked up some stock 17" mag wheels with studded tires. Wheels are in great shape and I may have them powdercoated.
