Thanks Oldblue!

Yeah, back in the early 90's I was trying to make a go of it on dirt. But 3 wins on dirt compared to 35 on asphalt, kinda gave me the idea that being a "dirt track racer" was not in my future.

Brian sure "held a pretty wheel" as we say in the South, how the news of his illness and passing didn't make it through the Driver's Grapevine baffles me.

We're keeping your Sweetie in our thoughts today, let us know how things turn out.

Changed the brake pads, then gave my ride a good bath.

Mike if you raced in Ransomeville before Sept 92 then you raced when I was on Brian's crew, after that I retired from racing because of a back injury. I just built the cars till 99

I raced there in '90, and '92, so this falls under "it's a small world", I learned a lot from just following Brian around the track. He had world class car control skills, and finely prepared cars, it was a privilege to run in his tire tracks.

Did they set up any funds or donation sites in his name, I'd like to do something to help his family out if I can.

Racers are family, just like the members here, and I feel so bad that I didn't know of his illness or his passing.

I'll look into that for you, we used to field 2 cars and back in 88at Rasomville, Bill Elliot asked Ray to drive the second car, Brian quipped, you won't want to drive my car, it's to fast for you.

Sweetie is out of surgery and resting in her room
