My husband (Dbeluscak) and I got a lot done over the past few days!
We were finally able to install our Mishimoto oil catchcan. It took us a while (weeks!) to get all the fittings to make it fit properly in such a small space with little clearance. We also re-installed the charge pipes, which we had powder-coated red. They came out beautiful, and match the color of the car perfectly. Finally, we were able to raise the intercooler a few inches, as it was hanging below the bumper.
Everything is looking good, and it’s so nice to finally have it out of the garage!

 

Nice looking trucklet ninja. A lot of detail work it looks like.

Drained trans and replaced filter and refilled. Not a hard job. Hardest part was locating that darned plug to check fluid level. Thanks to a pic I found on here from Snoopy some years ago I finally located it. Right where it should be if you think about it.

This sight tells me everything I want to know about these HHR's and then some. A big thanks to all who contribute. Makes a do it yourselfer like me work a little less harder.

 

Had to change out the LCA rear bushings, did it old school, air chiseled out the old and drove in the new one ! A Moog problem solver!

 

Nice oldblue. When I did mine I didnt have access to an air chisel. Did it with a BFH and a piece of pipe. I like your way better.

Now my "what" for today was a flying trip South on I-85 and I-485 at 4am, after getting a call from the CMPD & TSA that something had triggered the alarm at the Flight Office.

The "something" was a pigeon who was zoomng around frantically before I opened the hanger doors to let it out, this is the second "Terrorist Pigeon" to trigger the alarms in the last year.

Once my employees get here at 9, I'm giving them their marching orders for the day and pointing Paddy back towards Kannapolis and the nice comfy bed I was snoring away on before both of our incoming phone lines went off.

I hate to tell the Airport Authority that their new high tech "simulated owls" don't work, but pigeons are smarter than the makers of the Simul-Owl.

 

Pigeons are "Winged Rats" and very devious/cunning. I had too many encounters with them in Vegas.

VinceP then your are old school! I used an old brake rotor as my anvil and had at it with the air chisel, the whole job took 45 minutes

Those LCA bearing/bushings are awesome, we when for our evening drive to Port Colborne Ont, same roads as before, but no more klunk or pull to the right!!
The steering wheel is straight up once again, and there are no rattles any more!!

 

On Monday i had both outer tie rod ends replaced.

Mileage just a tad over 124,000.xx
