Okay, mine is this 3 shaped thing reminds me of a peace sign... my dad is/was a GM tech and doesn't have a tool that would get the thing off. He said they are a type of rivet.

He said he will drill out the bolts for me once it is a bit warmer.

Remove old(cracked) Passenger Mirror, removed Passenger Mirror Cover, Installed new Passenger Mirror, Took pic of removed cover, edited and uploaded.

Paddy and Boo Boo stayed parked today, much work type stuff to do before Friday. Paddy gets new rims tomorrow, old ones already sold, clearcoat was peeling, driving me nuts. Pics on the way once he gets his new feet, and of course its going to snow here, why me?

Looks like a big head pop rivet to me.

I would drill the head with a 1/8" drill bit just to flush with the parent metal, then use a punch to knock it through.

Since I work on aircraft, we use a lot of Cherry-Max fasteners, 1/8" is the interfered size for most skin to rib connections.

Looks like what was on my lic. plate holder on the front bumper before i removed it , Talvanos right , Just drill it out.
