What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
After 169 thousand miles I finally had to replace LCA bushings. Chose the whole LCA route. Not a bad repair, getting everything lined back up takes a little persuading. For me putting the rear bushing end in first, then the front bushing, followed by the ball joint. Also a little pressure from a floor jack under the LCA helps line up the bolt for the ball joint. I did take the brakes and rotors off also for a little extra clearance.
Went for a ride in the country, just stopped for an ice cream cone, got lots of attention from people at the parking area, with the what is that question and thumbs up for the new old look!
Triple A is buying me a battery! Winner! Winner, Chicken dinner! My sled hadn't been started in a while, so my 7 yr old original was getting tired I guess. Nonetheless, payment came out of their pocket. Yea! Next, detail in order. We is going to a Santa parade. In July?...🎅🏻👍🏼
Took Paddy and my headcold to Walgreens and the Food Lion, returning to work full time on Monday, yay!
Right wrist still a bit tender, but I can now yank up on the handbrake with only a little "ouch", instead of the Squirrel being sucked into a Shop-Vac® "SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!!" of last week.
Now if the numbness in my middle and ring fingers in that hand will just go away.
It's terrible when you're "Flipping the Bird" to folks without realizing it.
Ah yes Oldblue, guts of the bug variety, I was prematurely proud of not getting Paddy all bug splatted until about 3/4 of a mile from home.
Then I "center punched" a Dragonfly with the top bar of Paddy's grill, the splattage took twenty minutes to remove with Meguiar's Qwik Detailer™ and a micro fiber rag.
And as any Southerner will tell you, our Dragonflies come in three sizes, big, really big, and Chinook Helicopter.
