Took the drive out for breakfast with an old buddy I used to work with at the factory 20 years ago. He has spotted a Victory red 2LT he wants me to check out from him to buy for his daughter. He says it's clean , low mileage, has a sunroof .

Last evening after hunting, at about 8pm with the wife at work till midnight, I decide to go out for a burger,, 1 hour later and 65 miles down the road I decided I was in the right city to hit a Burger King,, then took the back way home. Nice 160 mile ride, my longest ride so far since getting it back together and it's been great! ,,,,,

The Hearse has new winter tires, it.s been oiled, new stabilizer links, synthetic oil & filter, still needs new front stabilizer bar bushings, which I have, just waiting for a week or two so my mechanic has some time, he is busy with oil spraying right now , and that is real dollars in his pocket, he did fix electrical gremmlins for me ( it was randomly doing the dash light dance , rough shifting thing), he cleaned all the grounds and now even tho' it has 182500kms on it it runs like a top. Today she gets washed and a little clean-up inside, may take a run up to the lake and check on the summer home, we will see....all in all, I am really happy with the beast, wish I had bought one years ago....

So, the other day on the way home I got a low fuel light, well maybe I do need fuel as it was down to 1/4 last I checked. Head for a gas station just to be sure and I notice that ALL my dash gauges are reading/not reading, wtf? Got some gas and started driving home. I noticed that the transmission was shifting hard and the throttle was not as responsive as it should be. Oh No, I have 25 miles of freeway driving to get home.

I made it home OK. Logged into the forum and started searching for these symptoms and found a thread https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...o-crazy-45786/ and read through it. The next day I tried resetting all the relays in the fuse box (many of them seemed to move down when pushed) and also tightened the bolts that hold the two halves together (these were all tight). Start the car and all gauges work fine. Two days of driving and still no problems. (insert happy face)

I bought a used steering wheel that I'm going to send down to Texas and have re-wrapped in black and red for my panel. I also got the column cover that goes below the steering wheel that I will paint red. Finally found the nuts and covers I've been needing for below the back seat conversion too. All that stuff is coming out of the Minneapolis Area.
Guess over the winter all that will get done and when I wake the Panel up in the spring I'll switch out the wheels and be set to go...Will post before and after photos after I get the wheel back from Texas...
