What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
I'm sure there are, but none of them have been where I live, in WI. I shouldn't say none, but there has not been a 2.4L, and that is what I want, especially after finding this forum and reading and seeing what's posted. I really hope the pictures I posted tonight help answer the questions and doubts that were shared about what "this" really was.
I had been looking on Auto Trader and Craigslist in the southern cities, cause I didn't want something that had been in the salt, but mine is a former Florida car that had only been up here 3 years and really dont look like it's seen salt.
If you found something in one of the southern states, one way air fare would be pretty cheap, and as you know, finding something close by isnt always easy.
I found mine in WI, just 80 miles away. A 2.4 with virtually every option available, and best of all a Panel which is what I was looking for.

Got above freezing so I could wash the crud off the HHR. There must have been a pound of dirt I got off. The sun came out so I took the other car for a drive and put the HHR in the garage to dry.
Went ahead and replaced the grille.
Pretty happy with it, although the process was a little crazy.
The hardest part was getting the old one off and making the mounting studs work in the new piece.
Black bezel headlights go on next.

Bummer, sorry about your tint. I had a tint issue in WI while visiting from FL.

hello i needanhhr,
my car is from florida as well. according to the shop my tint allows 70% blockage of sunlight and the law allows up to 30%. so in otherwords just the window. i to am legally blind, but in my left eye.
since this will be a newly enforced law here i dont want to be pulled over constantly. if they cant give you a ticket for that they will find something else, i really dont have the patience for that. plus you now fail inspection, which for me is up the end of this month. so just easier to comply. i hate doing that!! complying that is.
so watch out fellow NYr's.

I've been recycled to La Crosse many times
Are you storing it to avoid the salt?
