They could have called it the Salt Shaker, but someone beat 'em to it.

My Did, was the usual every 500 miles retorque on Paddy's alloys, set the torque wrench for 100 ft lbs.

Twenty clicks later, and all is happiness and light.

Took a ride to a golf show Friday and made a fool of myself on a driving range with a electronic screen that showed how far you hit it.
Nobody could understand why I wanted a bazooka for Christmas.

Put the battery (and all the other stuff that you got to take out before you can access the battery) back in.
It's going to the body shop next Friday (March 10th) to get the new steering wheel put in, the new door handles painted and installed and the under hood painted.
First sign of spring here in the Great North Woods is getting the "good" cars out of storage and the bikes ready for the road...

Angry

This morning I took it to my insurance adjuster for an estimate to repair the slight damage from a hit & run that happened while I was sleeping a few nights ago. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/imag...s/icon_mad.gif Just got done changing the oil, topped off the washer fluid, & replaced the air filter.

Took a loooong ride to Berrien Springs Michigan to look at Maxxi HHR,,, another Suburban. But that didn't quite meet my expectations, so I made the most of it. I left after breakfast, north up thru lower Michigan and and across to Lake Michigan, up the Lake Michigan cost.

Stopped for lunch and to check out the beach, and get a shot of Li'l Blackie on the sand, got back about supper time. Nice 400 mile drive, little Blackie enjoyed the day outa mothballs to!

All in all, a gorgeous day, and I will be taken a few more extended trips as the days keep extending.

Bought mine last week, washed it up, put new speakers in it, and did a general service of all filters, wipers, fluids and such. I'll be putting a Magnaflow cat back on it tonight after work.

I would drive it while before the change. I say this because I have done a couple cat backs on vehicles and would have not known if they did any good or not as far as performance or improved MPG,, in my case both times they did nothing but suck a lot of gas money outa my pocket!! I saw no noticeable gain but noise,,, which in one case was to an annoying rumble.

I would save your old parts as many have said how some of the premium muffler upgrades are quite disturbing on these motors with an annoying gurgle sound??

Just a heads up before the work begins,,, but good luck and enjoy your new ride!

I appreciate the insight. To be honest, I am not so worried about a MPG here or there. I am used to big V8's and such, all my cars (8), are high power small blocks or turbo cars with 3" exhaust. So the sound is what I am after. I know its a 4 cylinder, but I have always been a fan of the Magnaflow mufflers. So hopefully it'll sound ok.

I'll be saving all my old exhaust, so if it doesn't sound good, I may just do something on my own with a different set-up.

I just replaced the brake pedal cover. :)
Brake rotors and pads arrived this week, so if I can I'll have 'em on by the weekend.
