I was going to do something with Paddy today, folks have asked me over the years what color silver he is at Cruise-Ins and the like. Well if y'all don't know he's Silverstone Metallic, a late '06 and '07 color only.

Well I found a guy from Manchester England who sells vinyl decals of various F1 racetracks, so I ordered up a set of "Silverstone" decals in "Silverstone Metallic" for the rear windows.

But my son Dusty introduced his indoor Mini-Drone to a running Hunter® Ceiling Fan this morning, think Buzzzzzzzzz!, Whang!, and many tears being shed until Daddy fixed the Mini-Drone.

The Drone is fixed, but my aging eyes and aging Thinker are now too tired to even contemplate putting the decals on, crooked would not be acceptable, and it's a four week wait on each set.

So I'm going to play with my trains instead, UPS brought a new set of Lionel® Santa Fe F7 diesels yesterday, and it's time to be Casey Jones!

just did the SS brake swap as described in:

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/brak...ard-hhr-42938/

well the swap went well and is simple as a brake swap. but i was under the gun and found out my dr side caliper was seized, it would not compress. then went to the passenger side and it compressed easily. then i cracked the bleeder and the fluid came out. i was checking if maybe the hose collapsed. nope flowed freely, so i replaced the caliper. bled the brake, did a test drive and it stopped true. pedal was just going down too far so i bled both. i ran outta time, had to pick up the kids and started to get dark. so the car is sitting due to weather. yep we got snow and cold weather up in these parts. i guess itll wait. but the rotors look HUGE!!

Went out, in the Great White North!! Gee, it was 55 degrees F just 2 weeks ago , in February!
So, fired up the 39 year old snow thrower, and cleaned the driveway out!

Maybe not the latest of the latest Ron, because Lionel™ introduces more new goodies than you can shake a stick at, but here's what I got....

Santa Fe TMCC F7 A-B-A Diesel (PWR A #332, DMY A #333)

Now before y'all are thinking, "oh man, it's turning into Train Talk with Ron & Mike", I did order up a new set of wheel cylinders for the '06. (But aren't those Class A articulateds super cool Ron?)

Both sides are weeping brake fluid ever so slightly, and I'd rather catch the issue quickly before the shoes are contaminated with brake fluid and need replacing.

This is why checking and adjusting the rear brakes at every oil change is the "Mantra of The Geezers" here gang, besides those shoes only have 90,000 miles on them...and they're less than 40% worn, so why ruin them?

2" of that white substance here in Kannapolis Oldblue, thankfully it's almost melted, the freezing rain forecast for tonight and Tuesday will be the bigger issue. Southerners hate snow, and the only ice we like is in our Sweet Tea, not on the roads!

Today

New user, first time on.
Today I realized the concept of the "I" shift setting and it made all my meager mods jump to life. Now it's time to look at the suspension, I'll do that tomorrow,.
