this was Thursday but I had to have the rear wheel cylinders replaced. The right side was weeping. That is the first wheel cylinder failure I have had since 1977.

I don't remember whether I posted the brake discs, but I did that a few weeks or so ago. Today, I got both VVT solenoids swapped, and while I was in there anyway, spun in some new spark plugs and an engine air filter. I suspect the plugs were original, but they still looked surprisingly good for 184,000 miles.

I'm gonna have the serpentine belt done sometime after next payday. I'd do it, but my arthritis is kinda acting up lately. There's a shop near my office that says they'll do it for $69, which is far better than the 200+ that Pep Boys quoted. I KNOW it ain't that valuable. C'mon, people.
I think, if I keep Herman much longer, long enough for another belt, anyway... I'm gonna cut a hole in the inner fender, and make a removable panel to fill it. I understand there's something like that already there, but designed for a smaller engine, and poorly placed for this one's idler pulley. I may have a look. If it turns out to be in the right spot, I'd just do the belt myself anyway. Dunno... we'll see.

Today , we rolled off to Hamilton, an ENT specialist appointment for Sweetie, just to check for Graft Vs. Host decease.
The HHR is still starting funny sometimes right on the first try orthers after 4 or 5 tries.
I tested the fuel pump , it’s at 55 psi running .
I believe there is a problem with fuel injectors, they are noisier then in the 2003 Sunfire.
I used my trusty stethoscope, #2 and 3 injectors are making more noise then 1 and 4.
So I’ve ordered new injectors from Rockauto

Not daying it is this, but my broken spark plug (Gregg ate the secondary electrode) sounded like a noisy injector, like in this video!

Gettin' Her Back in Shape

Just got back my '08 Panel. The PO had neglected her quite a bit and I had to get some things done. Replaced LCAs (aluminum, of course) and used Moog Problem Solver bushings, the front sway bars, the rear drum assemblies, fuel line and two rear side marker lights (whew!). I'm not the greatest mechanic so a lot of it was farmed out to local shops at some expense. Either way, it rides scads better and passed safety and emissions inspections. Next up... the cosmetics. Gotta install new rims and meats all around (those AR 17" rims I was enquiring about a little ways back). Also on the lookout for some leather front and rear seats locally. It's going slow but I'm getting there. That's all for now.

I pulled the plugs , clean no parts missing , I thought the same thing, but , it’s the injectors ticking.

Today I rejoiced, applauded myself, and pat myself on the back for finally selling that piece of junk HHR.... and I was actually laughing out loud as I bolted my new tags onto my 2017 Challenger Scat Pack 392 Shaker. This has been the best decision I have made in the last 10 years.

So long..... suckers!!!!

Yup, see ya! And he thinks he had problems with the HHR! Just you wait!

Today just waiting for the delivery truck!

The HHR starts if I hold the key , or turn it release it then turn it and release a second time.
During the first time #2 and 3 injectors don’t make any clicking noise, like they are stuck open .
I wiggled the connection, it’s tight and get power, according to my multi tester.
