Picked up a full set of custom leather seats from an HHR from a seller on Craigslist over the weekend. They're going in the '07 Panel and the black leather seats in it are being swapped into the '08 Panel. A few more tweaks here and there and both should be complete.

Oh, are you having trouble with the front suspension again?

Oh, no just a bit of fizz in the barley!
Today Dan is coming over to swap the fuel injectors, this should be fun!
I know the OEM injectors for my 2007 are 12582704 and that number superseded to 12606110, so that’s the number I ordered from RockAuto, I opened the packaged to get ready to change them and the box shows the 110 new number the injectors have the 704 number.
These are new in the AC Delco box .
Good news , Dan just disconnected the injectors electrical connections, removed the 2 fuel rail bolts and the fuel line bolt , gently pulled the fuel rail up and out the popped.
I had ran the fuel out with the fuel pump fuse pulled , he unclimbed the retaining clips and had all four swapped in about 20 minutes.
He had enough slack in the fuel hose , he didn’t need to disconnect the spring clip retainer and risk damage to the oring.
After a 2 second turn to the ignition switch to prime the fuel rail , three times, I turned the key to start and it started up immediately.
Hopefully I’ve dodged the bullet of dropping the fuel tank and changing the fuel pump.
We’ll see!!
Now we’re off for lunch, the amount Dan eats , it might have been cheaper to go to the dealership!

Well today we were to roll up to Burlington, Ontario for my pain management Dr appointment, she called and canceled the appointment, so we went out to Chippewa, Ontario for a walk.
When we went out of the house , and first started the HHR , the slow to start issue was back.
We’ve determined it’s the fuel pump assembly, so I ordered one today.
There is still no CEL light, no pending codes, just it seems to be low fuel pressure , although the pressure test showed 55 PSI.

How puzzling. you gotta stop being so temperamental toward your owner Oldblue ! For lasting as long as all those systems did especially through all those Canadian winters I'm very impressed. Today it was a brisk 49 degrees in the morning! Cold leather isn't fun to sit on. Heated seats in Florida are useful after all!

Blue I have to ask, your HHR has been around the block many, many times. Are your floor pans still good? Or any other sheet metal? I think you did show where the rear fender well area's were redone.

Cat Man, the floors are solid, I get it oil sprayed , the rear quarters were not sprayed from new from the door area, just what they could reach through the trap doors for changing the tail lights.
Today we went to set up for the party for little Willow’s Christening, tomorrow! Wow, 3 1/2 months old already!
