Changed the plugs, put new split loom on the coil pack harness since it was deteriorated, installed the factory fog lights with factory wiring, and repaired the air box bracket that was broke. Oh, and washed it.

Hey Cweasel,
Down here in the Deep South (where redneck is NOT a derogatory term), we would call that a "California Custom" part.

I was down to one key and one non working fob, but I received this in the mail today
Amazon Amazon

Took all of two minutes to program both the old and new fob. The dealer wanted 140 for one fob and another 80 to program both of them. I'd say 50 is a steal. I gotta get my two new keys cut tommorow, and then program them myself.

BTW, this seller on Amazon also has fobs with remote strt as well as rear doors.

Loss on Two Fronts Today

For anyones info, 2010-2012 Mailbu steering wheel will not work as a bolt in replacement. The horn mounts are different. I haven't decided if I'm going to lose $40 on shipping it back, or to try and make it work and possibly lose $100 if I cant. Wheel cost $80 plus $20 for shipping.

I also found the thread on remote start without AP3, read five or six pages, and went to town. Only after being unsuccessful did I read the entire 19 page thread to find out it just won't work. So, it's been kind of a rough day

You Lucky Dog...I sure miss Florida. South Florida anyway, I always called the pan handle area "Lower Alabama"

Have fun in the sun.

Thanks, we left at 3:30 am drove to Orangeburg SC , got here 7:00 Not bad three meal stops , two fuel stops.
Only problem with the HHR is the catalytic converter pipe to the resonator pipe flange gasket blew out. I replace that tomorrow morning, it not effecting mileage or performance.
What is it with driving to Florida and exhaust problems, the flexpipe broke 3 years ago.
Well I'll check in when I get to Indian Rocks just south of Clearwater Fl tomorrow

New keys

I went to Home Depot today to get some keys cut. Since I bought them off Amazon and didn't purchase them from the store, the employee cut them for free. Then a super simple programing and I have two new keys for $14. The dealership wanted 50 just for one key, plus cutting, plus programming.
