I just got back from buying a set of tires, too. I got continental pure traction all weather tires.
They ride smoother and quieter than the mismatched Bridgestone snow tires and Firestones (front and back, respectively) it came with.
They were spendier than I would have liked but hope they serve us well.

My Bridgestones were $535 out the door.

I like Bridgestones, too. I've just had great luck with continentals over the years. Brand loyalty and all that.
The conti's were 572. They can be had for less at a warehouse but the dealer included mounting and balance. They have a ridiculous 60 or 70K mileage warranty, but I know they won't last that long. Most people get about 35 out of them.
As little as I get to travel they'll last me a decade or so.

I had a pair of 70,000 mile warranty Hankooks on my Sebring convertible. They had 60,000 on them when I sold the car and there was still some decent tread on them

Post Put It back together

After my 28 hour escapade getting home after anti-theft system shut off going down the road at 55mph. Did I mention 12 midnight. OH Yeah What a Blast. Well the girl can hold her own. With the help of a wonderful gentleman he towed me to his house, put up with me for more than 20 hours and we finally figured out that the reason there was no power from the back to the front, after replacing battery and alternator. The anti-theft decided to pop in in-invited to make my day complete. I was hauling two bushels of live crabs home. Thank God For Walmart. I put this little red B-otch , back together again. For Sale.!!!!!!!!!

Great you got that job done, how's it running now?
Today a ride out to the Port Maitland area along the north shore of Lake Erie, had to follow the signs!
