Hit 111,111 miles today. Also got some time at the shop. New LCA's, sway bar links, inner and outer tie rods, KYB struts and shocks, Eiback springs, front sway bar bushings, and a TTR sway bar. I didn't get to the axel pivot bushings, got off work later than expected, and well, just this work took 7 hours. Way too long, but I will say, the second side of each part went way faster than the first. And now I'll know how to do everything in another five to ten years. I also didn't get to core my second cat, install new muffler, or mount and balance new tires. Tomorrow will be here soon enough.

I will say my drive home from the shop about eight miles on a windy mountain road was, uh, fun? Balding tires and in desparate need of an alignment, sheduled for Monday, in the rain with standing water on the road, well it was a 25-30 MPH drive. I can't wait to actually get to test out Big Red. I do feel a pretty discernable difference with the sway bar already. I definitley recommend getting one. Pics to come once the springs settle in a little.

Still getting use to My 2008 HHR

I had my car for a week today. Love It!! Drove it to work and back. Sat and listen to some music. Then my wife got it and went for a little joyride. She loves it. She has a PT Cruiser, she said my drive a lot better. Yay!!!

Enjoy that HHR!!
Today we rolled Sweetie's Mom back in time to 1956, took her to the house they lived in back in 1956, when they arrived from Europe.
We then went from Lake Erie perch dinner in Port Dover, Ontario.

Cored my second cat this evening. Also got some drive time on my new tires and suspension. Car feels awesome. Turning is responsive and bounce it mostly gone over bumps, yet still a comfortable ride. Also, not nearly as much body roll with the rear sway bar. Tires are nice and grippy, not bad for $60 tires. Will update that after some miles driven. Butt dyno is telling me nothing about the cat being cored, but it's nice to know that my engine can breath a little better.

Replaced both front wheel bearing hubs, Not a bad job at all considering they were 10 yrs old and (102,000km) 65000 mi. Hardest part was removing the ABS shield.
All in all about a 2hr job, next LCA. Sure appreciate all the info this site contributes.
