When I first test drove mine, I felt like I was riding on a buck board (stagecoach), but knew that was just minor adjusting..

And can relate to the MIL thing..

I think I got myself a free not-stubby-but-at-least-shorter-than-stock antenna from the box of random used ones we have at work
fit nicely, will have to test the reception tomorrow

Today, on both Oldblue and The Black Swan , I cleaned the windows, windshield and a quick detailing of the interior.
I installed a K&N drop in air filter in the new one.
Cleaned the throttle body and MAF .
Had lunch and a rest , man this heat.
Then took the Black Swan for Sunday drive and dinner with my MIL.
It was Smooth and quiet , no 40 MPH bounce .
Oldblue is online now

A little BBQ black paint on your muffler will make it disappear.. Used to be a very popular low cost mod.. Mine has been done since very long ago..

That's the first thing I do.
I hate garbage of any kind hanging down.
I have been using VHT Flame Proof Flat Black SP 102 in an 11oz, spray can.
You can buy it online.
No sign of any failing spots on any of the HHR"s I have owned.
I clean the muffler with Acetone and apply a light coat followed with a heavy coat and follow the curing directions on the can.

Had to put it to work like a truck, made about 30 trips between my old trailer and the new one. Didn't even get a chance to wash it. I'll make up for it next weekend.
